Flexographic Printed Boxes

Flexo Printing on Corrugated Boxes

With advances in modern printing innovation and brand competition, packaging now plays a major role in promoting your brand. Many companies are turning to flexography to create eye-catching designs, logos and messaging on their standard mailing or e-commerce shipping boxes. Flexo printing on boxes is a popular choice for jobs requiring high volumes of labels and packaging.

What is Flexographic Printing?

Flexography involves using flexible printing plates mounted on fast-rotating cylinders. During the process, we wind a flexible, photopolymer plate around a rotating cylinder for each color. The graphics and text for each color are then raised from the surface of the plate. Only the raised portions of the plate get inked.

We use presses during the flexographic printing process to print on a variety of thicknesses of corrugated board and achieve speeds of up to 12,000 sheets per hour! For this reason, flexography has become the standard for many packaging companies seeking to print imaging quickly and on a multitude of substrates. Compared to other printing methods, flexo printing on boxes offers higher quality, more diversity and lower costs.

Materials Appropriate for Flexographic Printing Include:

  • Subscription boxes
  • Shipping boxes
  • Jewelry boxes
  • In-store displays
  • Pre-printed liner board
